It all started when more than twenty years ago, a Japanese friend who owned a restaurant asked Hajime Morimoto for a rice suitable for Japanese cuisine that was easier to find, at zero kilometer, cheaper and GMO free (unlike the one imported from America that at the time monopolized the market).
Thanks to the position in which the company was born and the knowledge that we have gradually acquired through research, we have come to identify in Italy the rice suitable for Japanese cuisine.
However, the work does not end only in identifying the goodest rice, but continues with monitoring the production process and attention to the quality of the finished product.
Okomesan as a guarantee of quality
Our products are the result of constant and careful control. The Okomesan brand is only given to rice that reflects all the necessary characteristics.
In addition to our natural Japanese sense for identifying a good rice, we have more than 20 years of experience in the sector, a Rice Sommelier in the team and technological supports that allow us to obtain an authentic product.
